First: I think that Apple is still on a good way, but this thought can change every moment when Apple release new products. On the other side: The competitive companies are not on a better way, most on a even worse.

The new Mac Pro is technical on the best way, but Apple philosophy was to combine technic and design, not to focus on technic and do the design later.

This quote was funny and desperation at once. If the new mac pro is the most innovative product Apple will sell currently they have a serious problem. Because nobody needs a super-slim Mac Pro, this computer will stand under a work desk and doesn’t must fit into your pocket or bag. And a very important thing for the customers was to upgrade the hardware, with the new one it isn’t possible. They think in the false direction,

The iPhone 5, kind of innovative, but not comparable to the first iPod, iPhone and iPad.

In situations like that, were a company is at the top, it is most important to release innovative products, products people never dreamed of and to do things other companies wouldn’t. This are situations were Apple need a Steve Jobs. Currently Tim Cook and the board is too much focused on profit and keep the business running, they forget to create valuable products people want and need.

Apple is going in the wrong direction. They create products to make money, not because they are the best products they can made, plastic iPhones, golden iPhones etc. The train will carry on and on, until a other company does it better with a chief like Steve Jobs, who is focused on designing the greatest products in technology.
